Forester SJ (2014-2018)

The SJ Forester represented another step forward, offering a 2.0L turbocharged FA20 DIT engine in the Forester XT, with 240 PS (177 kW) and 350 Nm of torque, marking a significant improvement in both power and efficiency over the previous EJ engines. Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT transmission was also introduced to handle this power, paired with a new X-Mode for enhanced off-road capability.

On the design front, Subaru made the Forester sleeker, with a sportier grille and more aggressive body lines. Inside, the cabin saw improvements in space and technology, with a new touchscreen infotainment system, better sound insulation, and more premium materials.
