Impreza GR/GV (2007 - 2014)

The GR/GV generation marked a shift from the traditional sedan-only body style with the introduction of the WRX and STI hatchback models. Powered by the 2.5-liter turbocharged EJ257 engine, the STI produced 305 hp, with improved handling due to the wider track and a more rigid chassis. This generation also featured the addition of the Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive) system for customizable driving modes. Despite its controversial styling departure, the GR/GV models were well-received in terms of performance, blending daily drivability with track-ready capability, and continuing the Impreza's legacy in motorsport.
