Collection: Forester SG (2003-2008)

In 2002, Subaru introduced the SG Forester, refining the formula. The turbocharged 2.0L EJ20 was retained, but Subaru also offered a more powerful 2.5L EJ255 turbo in certain markets, delivering 230 PS (169 kW) in the Forester XT. This was a significant boost in performance, especially for those who craved power in an SUV package.

Technological improvements included a more refined all-wheel-drive system and upgraded suspension for better handling. The introduction of a stiffer chassis and Subaru’s Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system made this generation more stable and safe in various driving conditions. The SG’s more rounded body design improved aerodynamics, and the new interior featured higher-quality materials, giving the cabin a more premium feel.
