Subaru silicone hose kits
Twenty-year-old rubber goes hard, then brittle, then it splits — usually under boost, usually a long way from home. Roo Racing silicone hoses are a direct factory fit, built to outlast the car, and they don't perish.

What's actually at stake
Three ways old hoses cost you money, in order of how much.
A split you can't see on a charge pipe bleeds pressure under load. The car feels flat, the tune runs lean, and you chase the fault for months.
Soft, weeping coolant hoses are step one in the chain that ends with an EJ25 head gasket bill. Heat always finds the weak point.
Old rubber doesn't split in the driveway. It splits at the far end of a track day, or halfway up the Putty with no phone reception.
Not marketing claims. The actual difference between what's on the car now and what replaces it.
| Attribute | Factory rubber, 20 years on | Roo Racing silicone |
|---|---|---|
| Service life | Hardens and cracks with every heat cycle | Rated for 15 years of service |
| Heat range | 90°C to 105°C | −60°C to 145°C |
| Boost pressure | Rubber specified for factory boost, twenty years ago | 100+ PSI, four-ply reinforced |
| Fitment | OEM shape | Direct factory replacement. No trimming, no adapters, no universal bends. |
| Under the bonnet | Faded, swollen, weeping at the clamps | Holds its shape and its colour. Looks like the build deserves it. |
We only stock what we'd run in our own builds. Function over marketing.
The range
Every hose we sell does one of four things. Work out which job your car needs done, then pick the exact kit for your chassis below.
Top and bottom radiator sets, Modine crossover hoses, heater matrix lines and full ancillary coolant kits. The ones that end in head gasket bills when they're left too long.
$120 – $510Turbo hose kits and intercooler plumbing for EJ turbo cars. Where boost leaks live, and where a split you can't see costs you power and a lean tune.
$119 – $149Complete sets for the rat's nest of brittle small-bore lines behind the manifold. Nobody wants to do this job twice.
$55 – $340Air box hoses and blow off valve return lines. The small stuff that quietly goes hard and starts feeding your engine unmetered air.
$39 – $369Step one
Every silicone kit we stock, grouped by the car it's built for. Prices are live — no part numbers to decode.

While others charge a billet tax for flashy blocks of aluminium, we stock the parts that keep a Subaru on the road. Silicone hoses aren't glamorous. They don't add horsepower.
They stop a $200 job becoming a $4,000 one. That's the whole pitch.
Fitting them
Year and model is enough. We'll narrow it down from there.
Roughly 70% of what we sell is matched to the car, not pulled off a shelf.
Hand tools, a drain pan and a couple of hours.
Message us your chassis code and we'll tell you straight — a real person, who owns one of these too.
Before you buy
Mostly things you can’t see in a listing photo.
Silicone hose is cured twice. The second cure — hours in an oven at around 200°C — drives off the volatile by-products the first one leaves behind. It’s slow and it costs energy, so it’s the first corner cut on a budget line. A hose that skipped it looks identical when new, then bubbles, delaminates, goes tacky on the surface and loses tensile strength once it has seen a few hundred heat cycles.
Ply count gets quoted a lot and means less than people think. The reinforcement fabric between the layers is what actually holds pressure — a thick hose built on cheap polyester is worse than a thinner one built properly. Burst figures are the same story: they’re quoted cold and fall away as the hose heats up, so a big number on a listing can still describe a hose that’s marginal at operating temperature.
Ours are four-ply, rated to 100+ PSI and to fifteen years of service across −60°C to 145°C, and moulded to your chassis rather than cut from universal bends. Worth asking of anything you’re comparing them against — and if the listing won’t tell you, that’s usually the answer.
